Lovely sunny cloudless autumn day. Greeted by fabulous looking chickens as we passed the front entrance. Enjoyable walk around the grounds of Rousham House & Gardens. Colourful autumnal leaf canopies. Formal gardens, still showing the …

Incredible!! Beautiful Gardens gently, smoothly rolling lawns through fantastic clusters of trees. Dotted with statues and tranquil ponds. And then amazing views over fields and meadows. WOW! Thank you for sharing!

Charming house and gardens to picnic in, so big they seem empty even when there are lots of people on a sunny day. River, sculptures, big old trees and large lawn areas. Unusual roosters roaming round.

Highly recommend a visit to this lovely estate with its magnificent grounds and enchanted formal gardens. The sylvan paradise has been formalized to protect the manor from nymphs and centaurs but keep an eye out if you venture onto the flood plain where spirits and sprites abound.

Had wanted to go for a long time and it did not disappoint! The gardens are peaceful and unspoiled by being commercialised (as the website says!) bring a picnic and spend the whole afternoon finding all the sculptures and features. The walled garden really is worth it in harvest season too!

Just stunning. Beautifully kept gardens and while I’m not a fan of the no dogs or children under 15 rule it does make for an incredibly tranquil space.

Went for a couple of hours on a Saturday. Beautiful grounds and very peaceful, would make a nice date location. Make sure you bring an activity (e.g. picnic) - we didn't and within two hours we had already seen all there was to see (twice!) so the entry fee (£8) felt quite steep.

Lovely place to go for a walk during summers! Edit: I visited again after 3 years on Queen’s Jubilee weekend and the gardens were maintained beautifully and serene place to be.
